Hit Me, Fred: Recollections of a Sideman

Got the book Hit Me, Fred: Recollections of a Sideman for a present, and really digging it so far. You name the top ten funk and soul tunes with a trombone on it, and Fred Wesley is probably on at least half of them. Just started it today, so looking forward to his adventures with James Brown, Bootsy, and George Clinton. Bootsy has a nice quote about the book on the back cover, and there is a nice Foreward by Rickey Vincent.
